The Artist in me !!!

Was Never good at origami or is it origamy …………….. or as most from Indian schools wld know - craft
Always scored an A in Art
Mostly a D in craft …. Or rather scraped thru to manage a D , thanks to my puppy dog eyes which were put to their best use then
Difference between craft and Art :
My Craft work was sloppy ………. I could never cut in a straight line ….. [abhi bhi line kaatna nahi aata ..... those close to me wld understand wut i am saying :-( ]
But Art ……… I never used a scale /ruler to draw a straight line .....but line aara nahi aata ..... words in bracket alppicable here also :)
Craft : either the paper would tear and then I would have to use so much gum , that too apna great desi market version – joker gum on it … which used to leave marks behind on it in order to cover the crime ….
Art : never an effort ………….. wld always go rite the first time
How u must wonder
Actually at that small age of 9 also , I used a management tactic / paradigm to get me thru successfully , the 80/20 principle …
80 of the time allotted was spent in analysing what to draw and in the planning of the painting
20 in the actual effort to yield the best results ………..
Craft grade : C and below
Art grade : A and above
Craft teacher : run of the mill , fold the paper this way coz it wldnt look like a bird other ways …..always scared of trying the unknown and the abstract
Art : always creative …. My one artteacher : Mrs.Apte from AECS-4 always encouraged creativity ……….
Be it a cartoon script drawing competition instead of the usual scenary waala competition
I got a first prize … obvious isn’t it [read exclamation mark here , they dont allow u these on ur posts]
Since then it has always been abstract ……….symbolic of events ,happenings around me
It is always a puzzle with my painting
Or maybe u could work out your own interpretation of the painting

Conclusion :
Craft : is for the skilled …………. U learn it , u practice it , u get it
Art : is for the talented ……….. its inborn , if u have it in u , u see it …. Or else u cant do much abt it
